God’s Canvass That Is Katrina

Katrina, may God’s canvass that you are, be filled with the vibrance of the all his universe. Featured Image -- 1895Sharing our page which you can fill in so we can both monitor how we are doing in terms of learning. http://wp.me/P4Olw5-ng

Your piece of work

God and his blank canvass

that I have reblogged can be worked into several intelligences which I am directing you (in the table) to accomplish:

Course Requirements and Assessment
What have I done to develop my Multiple Intelligences in Relation to Science?
EXAMS 10% PROJECTS 90% 3 done as individual. 1 with family. 1 with neighbor. 1 with churchmate. 1 with classmate. 1 with countryman. 1 with foreigner (among these 5 done with science majors, 4 done with non-science majors)
Musical-Rythmic and Harmonic 10% you can record your voice reciting the poem and mix it with music. (Better if the music is original). You can upload it as audio.
Visual – Spatial 10% you can make a video. For the video, I think it will work if you video yourself painting the images you describe. Dramatizing the scenes like waking up, reading a science book, observing nature etc. The painting is another output. The painting can be scanned and you can layout the text and make it a photo quote.
Verbal – Linguistic 10%  This poem / prayer
Logical – Mathematical 10%  Record your budget for this project and you can post about this too.
Bodily – Kinesthetic 10%  performing in the video both to dramatise and to paint the art works
Interpersonal 10%  you will have to solicit the help of a friend for this project and you can take note of your interpersonal interactions
Intrapersonal 10%  take note of the learning process as you do this project.
Naturalistic 10%  your poem touches on nature and so video the actual nature that you are taking care of. Do you have a garden, a pet? They can be the ones that you include in your video
Existential 10% your poem prayer touches much on human existence as canvass.

Engines of Commerce

We are all a blank canvass,

I am a canvass, you are a canvass.

Every morning is a blank one,

we fill it with different hues of color.

Different techniques to make it unique.

God used his mind and eyes

to paint galaxies and skies.

We used our experiences and stories

to paint our life and ideas.

The palette we use defines who we are.

Dark colors for a bad day,

bright ones for a happiness.

Make every day worth it,

and don’t regret every stroke.

But just look closely, just closely.

We are all just stars in the universe

that God created and molded.

Waiting for the right time

to finally burst in the universe.

To finally, leave our mark

in the world He created.

MFF: Bad Ang Sinungaling

By: Garcia, Ricael
 photo 20140816_155116_zps82472a23.jpg

So last August 16, 2014. There was this commotion in the plaza mayor. A shoot for the Manila Film Fest, the “BAD ANG SINUNGALING”. And since our class was tasked to observe the production of the movie, we took as many pictures and videos as possible for our attendance. But we also enjoyed ourselves to the fullest (of course there are SELFIES included) since this is a rare opportunity to watch a live production. We also act as extras in the background, which I’m not really proud of but, I admit it is actually fun especially when you have friends to share the experience.

 photo 20140816_154356_zpsf1b61228.jpg

I’m not really excited about the artists, since I already saw Marian Rivera in Panagbenga and I’m not really a fan of Ryzza. But what I had been excited about are the directors and scriptwriters even the videographer (just watching the production excites me about the future) since I also want to experience a job in Film production.

I also want to experience directing a film but it’s not my dream job for my goal is still a creative director.

Since I only use my phone camera, the pictures that had been taken were blurred and not really that clear. And for the video that I had taken, I don’t know why I can’t somehow upload it in YouTube so I only posted some pictures.

NOTE: Unfortunately, I’m late in posting this blog since I really do have some problems in connection. I can’t really go at the net cafe since I don’t have enough allowance last week so I decided to go home this weekend to have easy access on the internet.

The Brand of Teaching

How can we describe a good teacher or a good professor?

By LEE, HILLARY IVANNA MOLATO

In the Norm: Teacher- comes in class-check attendance-lectures-quiz-dismissal.

In the old times did you know that the idea of selling water particularly in water bottles people thought that it was a silly idea? Which we can now find sold all over the world by groceries, convenience stores or street vendors! That unique idea at first sounded silly, crazy, weird and/but unique but now it evolved to be worldwide; never the less, it has a particular classification which we call brands! (Ex. Summit, Cystal Clear, Aqua Fina, Absolute etc.)

Our professor, Prof. Rom Cumagun introduced to us a different approach in teaching which he calls “Blogosphere.” It sounded unique, but most of us, his students, weren’t interested about it; because we were taught by the “Norm,” we accepted the traditional way of teaching where we can learn and get our grades from.
Like no other professor, we broke the ice by asking him what his real objective in teaching is. Why is he not giving lectures from a book? Why is he discussing about blogging? At first, we didn’t understand, but one phrase he said that inspired me was: “I have a big dream that someday, YOU, as advertising students, might someday become leaders” which led to an answer to those questions of ours. He wanted us to be authors, not to be readers. He has this big vision for us that someday we will be discovered by our unique ideas like Albert Einstein, Galileo Galilei, William Gilbert a.k.a. to be Leaders, Celebrities, Known Names in the Industry!

famousscientists-montage

leadership

His approach of teaching was like this…

Prof. Cumagun-Prayer-discussion of blogs-interaction-grading system based on our multiple intelligence-attendance-dismissal

As an advertising student, he introduced his own brand as a professor which makes him one of a kind. He is not like any other professor who just teaches but requires us to interact with people through blogging, not in a traditional way of teaching, but by applying our major in a practical way! He, I would say, should be called our personal trainer, because he exercises us our major in advertising by blogging.

Our Believer, Trainer and Professor sir I respect your approach in teaching. It may be unique but that uniqueness might lead us someday to be successful professionals in our field. Thank you.
